Sentinel Hotel
A Luxury Hotel with Vision.
Named for the Sentinels adorning its roofline, Sentinel is a luxury hotel that has, historically, called to forward-thinking movers and shakers. When Sentinel was first built in 1909, it was one of the most daring buildings of its time, featuring an exterior composed of fully glazed terra cotta.
Today, Sentinel still beckons to creative types, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders. Their art collection, a series of black and white photographs with subjects varying from Dr. MLK to Sid Vicious, provide inspiration for greatness. Guests residing at the top for of the West Wing even have access to the Room at the End of the Hall, a stylishly decorated creative room for the free thinkers and dreamers.
Although Sentinel is a luxury hotel, the alternative spirit of Portland has permeated through their walls. The hotel's extensive list of signature amenities include a pillow menu, pet services, and locally made Salt & Straw gourmet ice cream. They even have a number of beehives on their rooftop where BeeLocal produces artisanal, local honey. Also, below Sentinel are two of Portland’s finest culinary establishments, Jake's Grill and Jackknife.
